April 28, 2007-
Rick Lopez, Rock N' Roll Photographer

Los 33, an old school local band called me to do pictures for their stateside demo and maybe a poster. The call came out of the blue while Ana and I were in the supermarket. I've been shooting gigs for some years, but this was the first time I got paid. So now can really say I shot bands professionally.

My other helmet, the one I've tested.

This is my other Helmet a Giro Semi MX. I went dirt jumping this morning for the second time in years. I used my polka-dot helmet last time but I figured I could use more coverage so I got this one. Today on my first time around the track I crashed while landing the first tabletop jump. After hitting the dirt I slid on my right side (knee, elbow, and shoulder) finally coming to a stop when my head hit the second ramp of the track. I was glad to have this helmet on, it has a LOT more padding than the Atmos, and while dirt is softer than concrete, I'm sure it made a difference.

Ana's friend Cristina (bottom right) needed some headshoots for a job application. After getting those done we played around with the flashes.

Lemmiwinks' frontmen Manny and Poti performing 80's covers.

Filtro Medusa played earlier that night. They're kinda big down here.
